What is your history of community service?
Member of the Senior Resource Alliance Advisory Board, President of Wilderness Homeowners Association.

Why are in you seeking this office?
I can make a difference because I am not a professional or previous elected politician. (I would be in favor of term limits) I feel county government has been moving in the wrong direction for many years. We have too much government spending, and tax payers are being charged too much in property taxes and impact fees.

What makes you the best-qualified candidate?
My common sense and my business experience would be good for Osceola County because I have fresh ideas that will generate more money without taxation.

Current or former elected official you most admire and why?
Patsy Heffner would be my choice. When the most popular elected official in Osceola County is the TAX COLLECTOR, it says a lot about the professionalism in that office. I will bring a higher level of professionalism to the Osceola County Commission.

If additional revenue becomes available where would you spend it?
I take offense to this question, because you're presupposing that any revenue should be spent. I say that any additional revenues should be put into reserves, so that it could be returned to the taxpayers the next year in form of a roll back to the millage rate.

If revenue falls short, what are the areas you would target for cuts?
Number one, I will not play politics with the budget. In too many instances elected officials will use SCARE TACTICS and say they will cut fire and police services. I will NEVER cut any essential services. I would look for only unessential services to cut.

Under what circumstances would you raise taxes?
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I ever raise taxes. I come to Osceola County Government to CUT TAXES and SPENDING and help all residents of this great county enjoy a higher standard of living.

What is the top issue facing Oceola County?
THE ECONOMY is the top issue facing Osceola County. We will also have problems with falling property values and foreclosures.

What does Osceola County government do well?
TAX AND SPEND EXTREMELY WELL

What does Osceola County government do poorly?
Government never rises to the level of business. Maybe we need to take a look at what part of government can be privatized so that we can save the taxpayers money.

Rate the job performance of the County Manager.
I feel that this question is inappropriate. At this point in time I would be able to only assess public performance that has been reported in the media, which would be totally unfair to the County Manager

How would you help businesses in Osceola County?
I would lower commercial tax rates to be more equitable. I also would prevent transient businesses to come into Osceola County that would compete with our long standing business.
