The Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce
is an association of business people whose priority is improving the business community, while improving and making their company more profitable. The Chamber strengths lie in numbers and diversity of the membership. Both large and small businesses from virtually every profession are represented and hold an influence investment in the Chamber. The more members the Chamber has, the better we can represent the business community, influence government policy, and negotiate member benefits.

The Small Business Development Center provides quality business development assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs in order to promote business formation, capital expansion, sales growth, innovation, productivity and improved management capability. With funding from the Small Business Administration, Osceola County, and the City of Kissimmee, the UCF SBDC provides free one-on-one business counseling, low cost business educational events, technical assistance and access to a small business library and research information. Available Services:
  • Individual Counseling with business development professionals from the UCF Small Business Development Center and The Hispanic Business Initiative Fund.
  • Business Resource Library with business publications, informational or motivational videos and audio tapes.
  • Computer Resource Center with 3 IBM compatible computers with KUA.net internet access.

The Chamber consists of eight mini-chambers, known as “Area Councils.” Each Area Council represents a particular region or demographic of Osceola County. Each Council has its own Board of Directors, a distinct program of work, exciting special events, and numerous sub-committees that strive to improve business for their council members.
SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL
  • With funding from Osceola County and other partners, created a Small Business Development Center to provide quality business development assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs.
  • Presents workshops and seminars such as “MBA in a Day,” QuickBooks Pro Training, “Marketing Your Small Business” and similar small business topics.
  • Recognizes and awards small and large businesses at the Annual Business Awards event.
  • Develops and implements programs that encourage networking and interaction among fellow Chamber members and potential members.
