The Chamber consists of eight mini-chambers, known as “Area Councils.”
Each Area Council represents a particular region or demographic of Osceola County.
Each Council has its own Board of Directors, a distinct program of work, exciting special
events, and numerous sub-committees that strive to improve business for their council members.
SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL
With funding from Osceola County and other partners, created a Small Business Development Center to
provide quality business development assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs.
Presents workshops and seminars such as “MBA in a Day,” QuickBooks Pro Training, “Marketing Your
Small Business” and similar small business topics.
Recognizes and awards small and large businesses at the Annual Business Awards event.
Develops and implements programs that encourage networking and interaction among fellow Chamber
members and potential members.
OSCEOLA RESORT AREA COUNCIL
Led efforts in top tourism issues for Osceola County such as, W192 Redevelopment and Beautification
Project, Gaylord Palms, pursuit of a Convention Center and the expansion of Lynx bus service on West 192.
Promotes the interests and is the voice of tourism-based industry in Osceola County.
Implements a Five Star Quality Program which trains and educates the Osceola tourism properties on issues
such as safety, effective communications and quality customer service.
Hosts of the annual Larson Award event that recognizes and awards a Shining Star of Osceola County’s
hospitality industry.
HISPANIC BUSINESS COUNCIL
Hosts the Annual Viva Osceola event held at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
Established a partnership with the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund to encourage and support Hispanic
businesses and entrepreneurs in Osceola County.
Created Conexion Hispana, a Hispanic business trade show and job fair.
Created a fellowship support group to encourage economic improvement through workshops and seminars.
BLACK BUSINESS COUNCIL
Hosts the annual Kissimmee Festival of Rhythm and Blues, a celebration of Black History Month at the
Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
Provides mentoring programs for start-up business members with established business members.
Created a fellowship support group to encourage economic improvement through workshops and seminars.
Assist/facilitate relocation and expansion of Black and other minority businesses to Osceola County.
DOWNTOWN KISSIMMEE AREA COUNCIL
Led the efforts to create the Community Redevelopment Agency.
Created Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate Program to help generate revenue in Downtown retail stores.
Worked with the Kissimmee Police Department to establish a Business Crime Watch Program Downtown
Kissimmee.
POINCIANA AREA COUNCIL
Provides a common voice in promoting the economic well being of businesses and to advance the civic,
industrial, commercial, professional, educational and environmental welfare of business in Poinciana.
Lead efforts to receive a federally funded grant for Primary Care Medical Services of Poinciana, which will
serve more than 3,500 clients in both Polk and Osceola Counties.
Coordinates a visioning process involving Poinciana area businesses, developers and residents.
Spearheaded efforts to bring Lynx transportation to the Poinciana area for residents and visitors to benefit
from.
CELEBRATION AREA COUNCIL
Implemented a Celebration Gift Certificate program to help generate revenue in Celebration retail businesses.\
Established a “Back to Business, Back to School” trade show to showcase and market Celebration area
businesses.
Holds monthly meetings to encourage networking and interaction among fellow Chamber members.
Hosts various debates designed to educate the public on candidates and issues.
Recognizes and awards businesses and residents on a monthly basis that make substantial improvements to the
appearance of their buildings/homes.
FOUR CORNERS
Spearheads collaboration between Lake, Orange, Osceola and Polk Counties to focus on top priority issues
that affect residents and business owners in the area.
Conducts workshops, seminars and social events for local businesses.
Coordinates sessions that showcase each County by presenting subjects such as Law Enforcement, Health
Care, Government and Education.
Hosts community wide events to promote synergy among residents and visitors to the Four Corners area.
